What is your procedure for valuing my gold?
When we receive your selling pack, it will be carefully unpacked, and the contents will be checked and itemized on the valuation form you filled in.
This process is video recorded for security. Your gold will then be tested for purity by our professional valuation team. A senior valuer will contact you with our offer.
If you accept, the cash will be transferred within 24 hours. If not, your gold will be returned to you free of charge.
How do you value my gold?
we don't use an online calculator that quotes misleading prices based on daily spot prices. We aim to offer the highest scrap gold price possible.
The more items you send, the more we can pay. We provide a safe, honest, and fair valuation service.
How much will I be paid for my gold?
The amount depends on the purity, quantity, and current day's fix prices. Our experts will value your items and make an offer. Once accepted, payment will be made immediately.
Does the jewellery need to be hallmarked?
No, it is not essential. Our valuer will test its purity to assess it accurately.
What if my jewellery has gemstones?
Generally, gemstones are not valued and can be costly to remove. If there are any of sentimental value, we suggest removing them before sending.
Are my items insured during transit?
Yes, they are insured up to £750 with Royal Mail, provided they are sent in the secure envelope provided.
If you believe the value is higher, you can increase the insured amount at the Post Office for a small fee.
Do you buy different coloured gold and platinum?
Yes, we do. As long as it's a precious metal, we will buy it.
What happens if the jewellery is not a precious metal?
If the items have no precious metals, there is a £12 fee to return them to you. Silver is not accepted unless sent with gold and will carry an admin fee for its return.
How will I be paid for my gold?
Payment is transferred directly to your bank account via BACS on the day we receive your items. Most UK banks operate under the 'Faster Payments System', meaning funds reach customer accounts the same day.
